Joint event

A ceremony was held by China and Vietnam in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region yesterday to mark the completion of land border demarcation and the erection of boundary markers, a significant event in bilateral relations.

The event began at 3:30 pm at the Youyiguan border gate in Pingxiang, opposite Lang Son in Vietnam. The border gate is known as Huu Nghi Quan in Vietnamese. About 800 people from the two countries, including government officials, were present at the ceremony.
