Foundation well funded

The Chinachem Charitable Foundation said it has sufficient funding for the legal battle to decide who will inherit the estate of Asia's richest woman Nina Wang.

Senior counsel for the foundation Denis Chang told the pretrial in the Court of First Instance yesterday that the foundation has sufficient funds to settle part of the payment. Chang asked Justice Johnson Lam Man-hon to defer the commencement of the formal trial, scheduled for April 27, by one to two months for proper preparation.
