Italian feast all week
Italian food and wine exporter DOC 39 Italian Taste is organizing an Italian food and wine week Feb 23-28, at Elements, Hilton Beijing. Here, you can find Italian spaghetti and pasta from Fiore di Puglia in South Italy, and exquisite starters such as Gristar, Taralli of different flavors, sun-dried tomatoes from Qualitakia, Puglia, as well as Porcini mushrooms, artichokes and different kinds of olive products.
The wines come from Demarie in Piedmont Alba, whose wine traditions go back more than 300 years. The Roero Arneis and Barbera D'Alba are mellow wines with a long aftertaste, while the Birbet sparkling wine is known for its low alcohol and rose fragrance. You can also find Lurisia mineral water which comes from a 1,460 meters high mountain lake, that is more than 200 years old.
Element's Italian buffet costs 208 yuan per person, plus 15% surcharge, and also offers a limited wine tasting of the above-mentioned three wines.
