Anxiety, fear and boredom

Oil painter Deng Jianjin from Guangdong province often employs disturbing colors, motifs like pistols and masks, and distorted figures to express his observations of human nature. In his latest solo exhibition, LustCaution, Deng says he "tries to reveal the anxiety, fear and boredom of certain urban people today" in his melancholy and nervous figures.
