Health spending detailed

The Tibet autonomous region spent 120 million yuan in 2008 to renovate or build healthcare institutions, an official with the regional health department said Wednesday.

Purbu Zhoima, the bureau director, said the regional government built 20 county-level Tibetan hospitals, two healthcare centers and six centers for disease control, and renovated 10 district-level hospitals last year.
