China to re-launch badminton league

After a seven-year break, China plans to re-launch its badminton club super league this year.

Liu Fengyan, director of the country's Table Tennis and Badminton Administration Center under China's State General Administration of Sport, made the announcement on Tuesday on the 50th anniversary of the Chinese Badminton Association.

Although Liu did not disclose the exact date the league would get under way, he said there will be six to eight clubs with at least 10 shuttlers each.
