President lands in Dakar

DAKAR: President Hu Jintao arrived in the Senegalese capital of Dakar on Friday for a state visit, during which he will meet with his Senegalese counterpart Abdoulaye Wade to promote friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries, according to Chinese diplomats.

The two leaders will also discuss how to realize the achievements of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in November 2006, and world and regional issues of common concern, the diplomats said.

An exchange of visits at various levels has increased gradually during the past three years, as cooperation in all fields has grown.
