China-Jamaica relations hailed

KINGSTON: Vice-President Xi Jinping and Jamaican Prime Minister Bruce Golding on Thursday pledged to boost the two nations' friendly partnership.

Xi said China has always valued its relations with Jamaica, and expressed appreciation for Golding's friendly policy toward China and his efforts in promoting bilateral ties.

Xi arrived here on Wednesday evening for an official visit to Jamaica, the second leg of his six-nation tour. This is the first official visit Xi has made to the Caribbean country.
