Venezuela-China deal

Venezuela and China will replenish a joint development fund maintained by the two countries with $4 billion during a visit to Venezuela next week by a Chinese representative.

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said yesterday that a Chinese official will arrive in Venezuela on Feb 17 to sign the agreement adding cash to the fund, according to an e-mailed government statement.
