Villages cook 100 chickens for century-old festival

Villagers flocked to a traditional 100-chicken feast to welcome the Year of the Ox in Yingzai town, Guangdong province, on Sunday.

The banquet is held annually on the 14th day of Lunar New Year and is said to date back 100 years. Villagers slaughter the chickens to worship their ancestors and wish for a bumper harvest.
