Association opens

The China Express Association (CEA) was founded yesterday in Beijing. It held its first general meeting, and Hong Shanxiang, former vice-minister of communications, was elected its president.

The conference said the long-term objectives of the CEA run are to establish professional ethics, regulate a fast-growing market, provide a link between members and the government, and further the interests of the express industry.
