Although the media are always harping on about China's pollution problems, you can't argue with the fact that it's a very green place.

'If at first you don't succeed, try, try again'

My fiance and I like nothing more than to spend a pleasant hour or three at the weekend strolling in one of Beijing's parks, so while on our Spring Festival break to Shanghai we were keen to check out the public gardens there.

And so it was we found ourselves on a bright winter's morning ambling through Fuxing Park, in the former French concession.
