Farmer prosecuted
A farmer from Yuzhou, Henan province, has been prosecuted for masquerading as former vice-minister of the Ministry of Public Security, Beijing Fengtai district court said yesterday.
In December 2007, the 62-year-old surnamed Lu cheated 70,000 yuan ($10,000) from a man surnamed Yin in Fengtai, claiming he was the former vice-minister and offering to find him a good job, local prosecutors said.
