Woman dies after brawl

A 41-year-old woman died from injuries sustained in a brawl at an airport in Kunming, Yunnan province, police said yesterday.

Wang Wenyan died in hospital at 11:22 am, 13 hours after a 27-year-old man named Liu Yong attacked her and three of her friends with a knife, a spokesman for the provincial public security department said. One of Wang's friends is in a critical condition, while the others are said to be recovering well.
