Portsmouth sack Adams
PORTSMOUTH, England: Premier League club Portsmouth has confirmed it has fired manager Tony Adams.
The club issued a statement yesterday that Adams, who had been in charge for four months since Harry Redknapp left to join Tottenham, was dismissed after taking only two points from a possible 27 in the Premier League and had been knocked out of all cup competitions, including the UEFA Cup. The club is 16th in the standings, one point above the relegation zone.
