Treat for lovers

Valentine's Day dinner at Grange (威斯汀扒房), The Westin Beijing Chaoyang, is sure to impress. The 6-course dinner has oyster, lobster, foie gras and Angus tenderloin. There is a rose for the lady, and dinner starts with a free glass of Perrier Jouet champagne.
For starters, you have oyster, considered an aphrodisiac. The restaurant offers it in three different styles - one with lemon juice, another tempura style, and the third as fried oyster cubes with omelet and vegetable. This is followed by a healthy, baby spinach leaf salad with goat cheese, and lobster bisque with whipped coconut cream and macaroon.
Smooth tasting foie gras terrine is served with onion marmalade as a degreaser, along with grilled brioche toast. The foie gras is imported from France, according to sous chef Terry Yao. Angus tenderloin imported from Australia is nicely grilled with shallot confit and grilled new potatoes, which is cut and arranged in the shape of two hearts on an arrow. For dessert, you have a chocolate and strawberry ensemble, with a fresh strawberry mousse on top and a heart-shaped chocolate base.
