The dancing troupe of China National Opera and Dance Theater will stage a gala show of song and dance. It narrates ancient poetry, friendship, love, family affections and expectations for spring. The repertoires of the 50-year-old dancing troupe draw inspiration from classical folk dances and regional opera dances.

Exhibitions on display include the history and evolution of Dongyue Temple, local culture, and folk handicrafts. The exhibition of Chinese Traditional Folk Fortunate Adornments displays more than 1,300 silver adornments used in Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).

The Shanghai Symphony Orchestra invites you to a romantic musical tour on Valentine's Day, when it will play a variety of music from romantic classics including The Phantom of the Opera, Aida, West Side Story and Cats.

Guangzhou
The concert for children will feature famous Russian composer Sergey Prokofiev's masterpiece, Peter and the Wolf. Prokofiev wrote the piece in 1936 after his return to the Soviet Union. It is a children's story (with both music and text by Prokofiev), spoken by a narrator accompanied by the orchestra.
Children with tickets to the concert will also get free admission to two forums featuring the musical and Sergey Prokofiev.
