Jobs boost
The industrial and commercial authorities will help boost the city's employment by launching a series of stimulus plans, which include preferential policies for business startups and direct payroll subsidies to fresh graduates, a conference by the Shanghai industrial and commercial bureau announced yesterday. "Those who are self-employed and who graduated within the past two years are eligible for deductions from three years' administrative expenses and do not have to meet minimum registered capital requirements," bureau chief Fang Huiping said.
