Airline's new chief
China Eastern Airlines' trading in the Shanghai Stock Exchange was suspended yesterday due to the airline's ongoing board meeting. After being general manager of China Eastern Group for nearly two months, Liu Shaoyong officially took the position as president of China Eastern Corporation Ltd during the meeting.
The 51-year-old former pilot was general manager with China Southern Group since August 2004.
