Clean river drive rolls out
The authorities have allocated 1.56 billion yuan ($228 million) to six downtown districts of Guangzhou as part of a 48.6-billion-yuan plan to clean up the Pearl River in the next 18 months, the local water affairs agency said yesterday.
A special task force has also reportedly been set up.
