Man sets lawmaker on fire

A newspaper says Singapore lawmaker Seng Han Thong was set on fire by a 70-year-old attacker who was upset he didn't receive a traditional cash handout for Lunar New Year.

The Straits Times newspaper reported yesterday that Seng, 59, was burned on his head, arms and upper body when Ong Kah Chua, 70, poured gasoline on him and ignited it. The paper says a 69-year-old community leader was also burned in the Sunday attack.
