Five dead in mine flood
Rescuers have recovered five bodies from a coal mine shaft, which was flooded on New Year's Eve in Southwest China's Guizhou province, the rescue headquarters said yesterday.
Despite risks of a tunnel collapse and gas poisoning, rescue teams are still searching for eight more miners, who are missing since the incident.
