Retired Ministry of Water Resources engineer Liu Yang says viewing ordinary objects from the past three decades is an extraordinary experience. "It makes my memories play out like old movies," she says while visiting the 1978-2008 Common Memory - The Retrospective Exhibition for the Reform and Opening Up in 30 Years at the Capital Museum's underground hall.
