Man in heaven after tour win
China's women skiers were the biggest winners at the just-concluded 2008/2009 FIS Tour De Ski (China), with Man Dandan crowned overall champion as expected courtesy of her convincing victory on the final stop in Shangri-la, Yunnan province on Tuesday.
Man, who won the first stop in Xiwu Banner, Inner Mongolia autonomous region and the third stop in Changchun, Jinlin province, continued her excellent form on Shangri-la's high-altitude ski track. The 19-year-old held off Norway's Tiril Scholberg and Swede Therese Carlsson to wrap up her hattrick on Tuesday.
With victories in three of the five-stop tour, Man easily pocketed the title of overall champion. Her compatriot Li Hongxue, winner of the second stop, was second in the standings, followed by another Chinese, Er Yingcui.
