CONCERTS
The China Philharmonic Orchestra will give a concert featuring the cellist Wang Jian playing Haydn's Cello Concerto in C Major to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Haydn's death.
Yu Long, music director of the orchestra will take the baton at the Forbidden City Concert Hall tonight. The orchestra will also perform Mozart's Marriage of Figaro and Chinese composer Ye Xiaogang's symphonic choir Song of the Earth. The soprano Chen Xiaoduo and baritone Yuan Chenye are the vocalists.
