Sinopec unit hits record

Sinopec Maoming Petrochemical Corp, a unit of Asia's largest oil refiner, said it boosted sales to a record last year because of increased processing to ease fuel shortages in the first three quarters of 2008.

The Guangdong-based unit of China Petroleum & Chemical Corp, posted revenue of almost 90 billion yuan in 2008, it said in a statement on its website yesterday.
