Quack gets jail time for reselling fake vaccine

An unlicensed doctor in Shanghai's Fengxian District was recently sentenced to seven years in jail and ordered to pay 190,000 yuan ($27,940) compensation to the family of two people who died after receiving treatment with fake rabies vaccine at his illegal clinic.

Xia Rengong, a retired doctor from a local hospital, set up his private clinic without authorization in 2000.
