Motown becomes gridiron 'Woetown'

China Daily | Updated: 2008-12-31 07:53

DETROIT: In a city routinely hammered by bad news, the headlines in Monday's papers lamenting the Detroit Lions' woeful 0-16 season packed only a glancing blow.

Alongside skyrocketing unemployment, a reeling auto industry and a decaying city, the Lions are well down on Detroit's 'things to fix' list.
