Vet to pay damages for killing dog during surgery

A vet has been ordered to pay 2,500 yuan ($370) in damages to the owner of a pet dog that died during surgical sterilization.

The owner, a Shanghai-based Hong Kong citizen surnamed Wu, sent her 6-year-old Pomeranian to the vet to be desexed in June but the pooch died during the procedure.
