Call to battle 'dark side' of globalization

International terrorism, drug trafficking and new threats including ethnic and regional conflicts, humanitarian crises, poverty, epidemics, illegal migration and environmental problems - Kazakhstan believes all pose threats to global and regional peace and stability.

Terming such threats the "dark side" of globalization, the central Asian republic has successfully met the challenges, yet notes genuine collective will and effort are required from the entire international community.

Identifying their underlying root causes and then taking genuine collective efforts and practical steps to address them could guarantee success in offsetting these challenges.
