Telecom firm 'not for sale'

Telecom Italia SpA Chief Executive Officer Franco Bernabe doesn't plan to sell Italy's biggest phone company and won't resign at an April shareholders meeting, according to a message posted by the executive on a blog.

"I am not selling to anyone," Bernabe was quoted as saying on the blog run by comedian and political activist Beppe Grillo. Bernabe added that he will retire "only when I have finished my work. And certainly not at the forthcoming shareholders meeting in April".
