Thirty Years of Chinese Art: 1978-2008, a mammoth album featuring more than 200 works of ink, oil, lacquer, watercolor paintings, prints and sculpture by the country's most eminent artists, rolled off the press last week. Published by People's Fine Arts Press, the album is dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping's opening up and reform policy.

A grand exhibition of the same title, held until tomorrow at the National Art Museum of China, presents more than 200 art works featured in the album. "The works reflect various stages and facets of a rapidly changing society over the past decades," says museum dean Fan Di'an.
