Pi Qiansheng, a standing committee member of the Tianjin municipal committee and chief of the Binhai New Area, is under investigation, the Party's discipline agency on economic crime allegations told Caijing magazine yesterday.
Pi, 57, might be linked to a corruption case that resulted in one of his colleagues being jailed for life, Caijing said.
