Choi keeps Koreans on top at China Open

XIAMEN, Fujian province: South Korean teenager Choi Hye-yong wrapped up a sensational year by winning the Orient China Ladies Open yesterday in Xiamen, in southeast China's Fujian province.

The 2008 Korean LPGA rookie of the year shot a final round three-under-par 69 to finish at 11-under 205 and earn herself the winner's check of $45,000 at the Orient Xiamen Golf and Country Club.

With Choi and her compatriots occupying eight places in the top ten rankings, Koreans have now dominated China's national women's championship for three straight years. The tournament is co-sanctioned by the China Golf Association and the Korea LPGA.
