Algeria-China economic relations prosper

With the stabilized political situation and implementation of an economic revitalization plan in Algeria, Algeria and China have maintained rapid develop in trade and business cooperation in recent years.

According to the statistics of the China General Administration of Customs, Algeria-China trade grew from $290 million in 2001 to $3.8 billion in 2007.

China's exports to Algeria expanded from light industrial products, textiles, grain, cooking oil and handicrafts to automobiles, construction machinery, household electronic appliances and telecommunications equipment. Algeria's exports to China include crude oil, liquefied petroleum gas and metals.
