We've come a long way, still miles to go

SHENZHEN: The bronze statue of Deng Xiaoping atop Lotus Hill in downtown Shenzhen was bathed, as usual, in sunshine yesterday. But far more people had gathered around it, placing bouquets or posing for keepsake photographs.
