Button pinning his hopes on Honda finding a buyer

China Daily | Updated: 2008-12-15 07:40

LONDON: British driver Jenson Button recognized on Saturday that he might have to take a year out of Formula One next season if his Honda team fail to find a rescuer.

"At the moment, I'm completely focused on working with the team to try to find someone to buy it - that has to be my best option for 2009," the 28-year-old told the autosport.com website at the draw for Sunday's Race of Champions event at Wembley Stadium.

"I'd rather not take a year out because I think that is bad for a racing driver, but that is always an option also," added Button.
