Towering tree closes up children's play holes

An old tree whose trunk once had big holes in which children played has surprised locals and experts alike by closing them up naturally in Shanglin county, the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

The 274-year-old maple tree in Aichang village in the county's Baixu township stands 30 m high and has a girth of 470 centimeters.
