Gong Qihua, 31, a farmer in the county's Shihua township, was also placed in a detention house for five days punishment. Gong found and apprehended the thief as he tried to steal his motorbike one afternoon. But police had to send the felon to hospital after he complained about the beating Gond had meted out. Police said Gong had over stepped the line in administering home-baked justice. (Chutian Metropolis Daily) Teen playing mom to younger sister at college A 16-year-old girl caring for her seven-year-old sister has touched the hearts of everyone at Henan Economic and Management Vocational School in the city of Nanyang. Luo Dengyu has been looking after her 7-year-old sister Luo Xiali for the past three months while studying hard herself. Everyday, the freshman ferries her sister on a bike to kindergarten and retrieves her in the afternoon. In addition to financially supporting the child, she helps bathe her and clean her clothes everyday after the school allowed her to live in the same dorm. Touched by her loyalty, the college also offered Luo a part-time job in its canteen. Luo said she would never give up her sister after her mother died and her father developed a mental illness.
