More output cut

OPEC should agree a more "severe" reduction in output at its meeting next week in Algeria to prop up sagging prices, OPEC President Chakib Khelil said in remarks published yesterday.

The decision of the gathering in Oran should be sufficient to ensure the removal of surplus oil stockpiles, he was quoted as saying by the official APS news agency.
