No headway in nuke talks
Talks aimed at ending the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK)'s nuclear weapons program made little headway in setting rules for probing its atomic activities, envoys said yesterday.
Having persuaded the DPRK to partly disable its Yongbyon nuclear complex this year in a disarmament-for-aid deal, negotiators from five states were seeking to persuade the DPRK to accept a protocol for checking its nuclear declaration.
