Mountain blaze
About 100 firefighters in Shaanxi province were trying to bring a forest fire on Huashan Mountain under control yesterday that had been raging since Monday.
A spokeswoman for the mountain management committee told the Xinhua News Agency that the blaze began in bushes close to the Huangfu Valley at about 1:30 pm on Monday.
