Paralympic spirit still alive and well in Beijing

When Liu Juan and her friends in the Beijing disabled table tennis team first went to the Beijing Sports and Vocational Training Center for the Disabled, she felt like "flying" up and down the ramps in her wheelchair.

The center provides an ideal environment for the disabled. Every staircase has a wheelchair ramp and special path for the blind. In the dormitory, there are flashing bells for people with a hearing disability.

"It is very convenient and cool," Liu smiles. "Actually, it's paradise."
