Officer punished for lackadaisical approach

A woman police officer was placed in confinement for three days recently after failing to correctly handle a theft reported by a local in Zhengzhou, capital of Henan province.

Instead of immediately sending police to the scene after a man phoned to report his motorbike stolen, the officer asked the caller to bring relevant materials to a nearby police sub-station.
