Probe into school deaths

The principal and five other managers of a school in Shaanxi province, where 11 schoolgirls died of carbon monoxide poisoning on Tuesday, have been detained for questioning, the Xinhua News Agency reported yesterday.

The procuratorate of Dingbian county, where the school is located, has also begun an investigation to determine whether the managers failed to prevent the accident
