Deadly reaction
A 10-year-old boy died and 61 others were hospitalized after eating wild fruits and drinking a soft drink on Monday in Menghai county, Yunan province, Chuncheng Evening News reported yesterday.
Local people said the fruits were not poisonous, and suspected the poisoning was due to a reaction of the fruits and the drink.
