Kobe rues near-miss as Lakers romp

LOS ANGELES: The Los Angeles Lakers beat the Toronto Raptors 112-99 on Sunday to win their seventh successive game and improve to a NBA-leading 14-1 record.
Pau Gasol scored 24 points and Kobe Bryant added 23, both in three quarters of play, to spark the Lakers. Bryant also made seven assists.
Center Andrew Bynum, who finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds, and the Lakers' bench players played the fourth quarter.
