Care center offers treatment and training

Though opened only recently, the Yunnan AIDS Care Center has already helped control the spread of the affliction in the province.

Located in western suburbs of Kunming, capital of Yunnan province, the center was approved in 2004 and opened formally in December last year.

It offered free antiretroviral treatment (ART) to more than 1,000 patients with AIDS by the end of November. Since its formal opening, both the number of people treated and the work efficiency have risen sharply.
