Little drummer boy

It is rare for percussion to dominate a concert but Li Biao and his friends will do it tonight at the Forbidden City Concert Hall to wrap up his one-month tour of China with his percussion band Li Biao & Friends.

Li and his friends, including Chilean Claudio Estay, Philip Jungk and Rudolf Bauer from Germany and Ronny Wenzell from Denmark, will play Rudi Bauer's Clap Trap, Paul Smadeck's Rhythm Song and Bob Becker's Mudra.

Li will also play a solo piece on several waste tin cans and there will be a piece adapted from Peking Opera drum beats.
