Skiing festival
A skiing festival that will last for more than 100 days started on Nov 23 at the Lianhua Mountain Ski Resort in the suburbs of Changchun to mark the start of the 2008-09 winter tourism season in the capital of Jilin province.
Professional ski races, leisure sports, entertainment and exhibitions of folk arts and customs are all part of the festival.
